Kokeshi Krazy - another one of my 'Vintage Faves'.



Some of my favourite Old Vintage Paintbrushes, so gorgeous...







Kokeshi dolls originate from the Tohoku region of Northern Japan and have been produced since the Japanese Edo period (1600-1868). It is believed that these dolls were originally created by woodwork artisans known as kijiya who made them to sell to the tourists who flocked to the hot springs in the area each winter.
