Vintage Mason Jars - Tres Chic!

I must confess that there is nothing nicer than old Vintage Glassware. We have been lucky enough to source some original Mason Jars in Clear & Green. They make a wonderful centrepiece on a table for a Wedding or special Corporate event. I have even seen them used by our customers at children's Birthday parties filled with lollies or drinks. Rollin' Rollin' Rollin' I'm goin' Ten Pin Bowlin'!!!!

Well, must admit I really adore these old Original 1950's Vintage Bowling Pins! We have been lucky to get a few for ourselves from New York & thought I would share them with you. They are highly sort after by Stylists & Photographers as an interesting & quirky prop. Certainly have to be up there on my 'Love List '!!

Ahhh, The Hamptons....

 Well, I must confess I am not a 'Sea Shells & Starfish' girl unless they are located in a Reef around Rarotonga but the have to say I am totally 'hooked' on the latest style originating in The Hamptons USA. For those of you who are not familiar with the region it is the playground for the rich & famous on Long Island, New York facing the Atlantic Ocean. The area consists of tiny Villages & Hamlets dating back to Colonial times. I had to have a peek & see what properly was worth. It is quite common to pick up a 'Beach House' for around $33 million USD. Gee, I think perhaps I better have two......what a bargain!!!! The style is elegant without being boring, the mix of flotsam & jetsam with the rustic weathered classics are just unbelievably gorgeous........ahhh, dream on, I have to say I can get very use to this style!

These are a few of my favourite things.......

Never being the type of person to like mass produced 'same old' goodies I thought I would share a few bits 'n pieces from a bygone era. I just love the quirky old Typewriter Bracelets ( Hmmmm, had to have two!) & the gorgeous Old Watch Earrings hunted down from one of my favourite Melbourne haunts. The old Woollen Textile Bobbins make the pieces look complete. Truly treasures from the past, love, love, love!

Water, water everywhere.....

Whilst, the Summer heat soars to relentless 40+ days in Western Australia,the Eastern Seaboard from Sydney through to Queensland is flooding! Our thoughts are with our family, friends & our special customers for safe travelling through the next couple of rough stormy days. Australia truly is a land of contrasts!

Last Tuesday the 17/1/2012 at 1.18pm we became the Grandparents of a gorgeous baby girl named Amelie Joy. She is our second Grandchild & precious little sister to Isaac, truly a special gift......





Amelie - French name, derived from Amelia.

Means -  Hardworking, Industrious, striving & loved one.

Nicknames - Amy, Millie, Lily or Ame (Spanish)

Introducing 3 of our 5 feathered friends - the other 2 have been misbehaving! They are Chinese Silkies & a Isa Brown Hen. Whilst not been famous for laying, they make gorgeous pets & quite enjoy a daily massage! No, I am not joking!!!! Bought from a breeder in Hillside on the outskirts of Sydney they came from a well loved home & are totally spoilt here!

If the walls could talk......

Question- What is the worlds worst chore?

Answer- Painting the house!

After 12 years or so of wear & tear we are painting through the house & the list of rooms keeps growing & growing! Now I know where the saying referring to the Sydney Harbour Bridge comes from.........you start at one end & just keep going.........and going!
